Juliet Burud – Licensed Pilates Instructor  


Juliet Burud is a certified Stott Pilates instructor and a mom of 4 with over 4 years’ teaching experience. She began her personal practice 20 years ago as a holistic, long-term solution for her chronic back issues, subsequently finding it an effective way to stay strong and healthy during and after her pregnancies. Juliet has also completed the Mammamage education, a program for women’s pelvic floor and diastasis recti issues, as well as Prenatal Mat and Reformer Pilates courses, for pregnancy and postpartum support. Juliet’s goal is to help her clients obtain or maintain a balanced, pain free and functional body through improving strength, coordination and flexibility from the inside to enhance posture and core stability.


What is Pilates?

Pilates is a holistic form of exercise that benefits your whole body. Pilates focuses on balancing your strength, flexibility, stability, muscular endurance and mobility through working on your core muscles that support your spine and posture. It also helps you to be more mindful of your breath, movement and improves mental clarity – while helping to reduce stress, stiffness and pain. Pilates can be adapted to your fitness level, condition, and goals, whether you do it on a mat, a reformer, or with other equipment. 


Who can take Pilates classes?

  1. Pilates is designed to meet you at your fitness level. Class exercises are presented in steps and can be modified for the beginner to the advanced client. It is recommended students use the principles of Pilates to master each step before progressing to the next. 


What should I wear?

Comfortable, unrestrictive clothing works best for Pilates. Gripper socks or barefoot works best for Mat classes.

When attending equipment session

  • Please no workout pants, legging or jackets that have zippers, as they may cause tears in leather on the machines
  • Gripper socks are the most comfortable and safe footwear when using the machines

Essential Pilates Course

Learn the fundamentals of Pilates while getting a full body workout

This course combines the principles of Pilates, Essential Mat work and functional elements to provide a full body workout. We will focus on building core strength, joint mobility and stability and muscular endurance – with the help of small props like resistance bands and our body weight. All fitness levels welcome. 


Period 1: 8 sessions Week 4 – 12 (23/1 – 19/3) Week 9 off for winter break (27/2) price: 1600:- deduction given for classes missed in case of late enrollment

Period 2: 7 sessions Week 13 – 21 (26/3 – 21/5) Week 14 off for Easter break (2/4) and Week 18 off for Valborg (30/4) price: 1400:-

Mom and Me Pilates

Bring your baby and workout with other new moms

Are you looking for a safe and effective way to get back in shape after giving birth? Join our intensive 5-week Pilates course for Moms and babies, where you first will get a 30 min PT consultation for a postural and diastasis recti assessment in the PT gym, and thereafter you will train twice a week in a group limited to max 12 participants. 

This course aims to support your postpartum body and the changes it has been through during pregnancy and your first months as a new parent. We focus on rediscovering the mind-muscle connection to your pelvic floor and deep abdominal muscles to gain core stability. Additionally, we will work to strengthen your pelvis and upper body musculature to improve postpartum posture and comfort. 

Our Pilates classes are low-impact and suitable for all levels. You can start as soon as 6-8 weeks after a vaginal birth or 10-12 weeks after a cesarean section, if you can walk with a stroller and lift a car seat.  

Period 1 Week 4 – 8 (23/1 – 22/2) deduction given for classes missed in case of late enrollment

Period 2 Week 10 – 15 (5/3 – 11/4) Week 14 off for Easter break 2/4 & 4/4), also off Valborg 30/4 & Kristi Himmelfärdsdag 9/5

Private or semi-private sessions are an excellent way to achieve your fitness goals. Personalized guidance and feedback ensure that you get the most out of your workout. Our fully equipped Pilates gym has Stott Pilates apparatus to challenge and support your body in various ways, including a Reformer, Cadillac, and Ladder Barrel. These specially designed machines are suitable for all levels and abilities, whether you want to strengthen your muscles, enhance joint stability or increase flexibility. The goal is for you to feel a difference after each workout.
